The Town team played only one match during the holidays, Christian Malford being the visitors on Saturday in a Calne and District League fixture. During the first half there was little to choose between the sides, and it was near the interval when L.W. Chequers put the Town ahead after S. Titcombe had done good work on the right.
During the second half the Town were much the better team. Chequers completed the "hat-trick" and W.J. Ogbourne also scored and the result was Wootton Bassett 4 Christian Malford 0.
The Town will visit Christian Malford in a Calne and District League match tomorrow and their team will be: S. Rex; A.S. Beale and H. Clarke; W.G. Hunt, E. Tull and A. Compton; S. Titcombe, W. Ogbourne, L.W. Chequers, W.J. Ogbourne and W. Sandell.
