The Town were visitors to Bushton United on Saturday in a Calne and District League match, and as was expected, the game proved very exciting. In the first half F. Wilkins scored twice for the Town, and after the interval Sandell put them further ahead. J. Davis reduced the arrears, the final score being :-Wootton Bassett Town, 3; Bushton United, 1.
Town will receive a visit from Avebury tomorrow in a Calne and District League match and a keen game is expected in view of the fact that neither side has so far dropped a point. The home side will be: F. Emery; A.S. Beale and H. Clarke; J. Norris, E. Evans and A. Compton; F. Selman, L.W. Chequers, M. Titcombe, S. Titcombe and W. Sandell.
