The Town visited Dauntsey on Saturday in the first round of the Calne and District Knock-Out Cup Competition. As had been anticipated, the game was keenly contested. After 20 minutes' play, M. Titcombe failed to convert a penalty, but 17 minutes later he gave the Town the lead with a good shot. The home team tried hard to equalise, but it was not until just after the change of ends that Ogbourne (who wore the Town's colours last year scored for Dauntsey. The Town afterwards had a good share of the game, and but for the goalkeeping of W. Edwards, they might have established a good lead. Eventually Sandell put them in front, but the lead was surrendered when Hitchcock, a few minutes before the end, netted from a corner. The final whistle sounded with the score two each, so that he teams will meet again on the Sports Ground.

The Town will visit Avebury in the third round of the Wilts Junior Cup Competition tomorrow and their team will be: F. Emery; A.S. Beale and H. Clarke; E. Evans, E. Tull and A. Compton; F. Selman, L.W. Chequers, M. Titcombe, S. Titcombe and W. Sandell.
