On a wet and miserable afternoon, Bassett were beaten by a very good Malmesbury side who gained revenge for their only defeat of the season against Bassett back in November. Bassett did not play well on the day, but nothing should be taken away from the visitors who were a strong and well organised side who did not allow Bassett any time on the ball. Bassett trailed 2-0 at half time but with the wind behind their backs in the second half, the expectation at half time was that they would get themselves back into the match Unfortunately this did not materialise. With Westlea the next opponents, Bassett will need to put in a much-improved performance if they are to avoid another defeat.
