In an additional friendly fixture after the league match Bassett continued to show how much they are improving the more matches they play. Bassett went two goals in front in the first half thanks to goals from Brett Embling and Luke Brakes, the latter resulted from a neat passing move involving Brett Embling and Peter Willis which ended with the firmly hit shot from Luke Brakes. Both sides put in a tremendous amount of effort and Cirencester were rewarded for their endeavours with a goal either side of half time. Both sides had chances to win the match but in the end honours were even. Peter Willis played well for Bassett in a side which included five players eligible to play at the Under 8 age level. Special mention to Cirencester Town for their excellent hospitality.
