A very disappointing result and performance after such a high last week. Basset lost this match because the opposition were much better disciplined and organised and passed the ball whereas Bassett, on too many occasions, sought to dribble with the ball which invariably resulted in them losing possession. Bassett's only goal came in the first half through Callum Snooks. Simon Anderton played well in Bassett's goal and the score could easily have been higher but for some fine saves by the Bassett keeper. Tom Marchment and Sean Toomey also battled away but this was all in all a below par performance from Bassett who must now seek to sort things out in training in the next couple of weeks before the next match.
