The Town first eleven journeyed to Avebury on Saturday for a Calne and District League match and were defeated by 3 goals to 1. At the interval Avebury held a three-goal lead, Gable (2) and Mullings being their scorers.

In the second half the Town more than held their own, and shortly before the finish L.W. Chequers scored a goal. This is the second league defeat the Town have suffered this season and on both occasions Avebury have been the victors.
