Bassett show struggling Stratton no mercy

The U12's travelled to the other side of Swindon to play Stratton who are struggling this season, The score line of 19 nil did not flatter Bassett as they controlled the game right from the start and to the credit of the team Bassett did not back off from attacking even after going into half time with a 9 nil lead.

We started off the game today with a 4 – 4 - 2 formation and went to a 3-4-3 in the second half after the back four was not really tested. Jake (3) who played his best game so far today provided Callum (4) with 3 of his goals by making the keeper come out to him and then passing the ball across the goal for Callum to side foot the ball into the back of the Stratton's net.

The team played well and yes Stratton were weak and 1 thing they must be credited fore is they did not give in but in saying that Bassett still had a job to do and as a team, there positional sense was all there to see, the midfield of Jack (3), Nick (2) and Harry (1) did a good and a well balanced job, Danny (1) on the wing played very well putting in good crosses and good corners in alongside Neil (1) played his part as well.

Kieran coming out of goal for the last 15 mins managed to get a goal and he took his chance well by slamming the ball in the roof of the net, with Grant (1) scoring as well, having a solid game should have been 2 with a well taken header but it was ruled offside in which Cleary he was not. The back 4 of Nashie (who did another good job) Ryan (unlucky not to score), Seb (another comfortably game) and Grant has kept another clean sheet to their name are really playing well.

The whole team now are playing well and more importantly playing for each other it was great to see Josh (2) still running at the defences who I believe is having a great season so far, The team is well balanced and are listening to us and as a team we can move forward and become even stronger.

So again well-done lads for not stopping and going out and wanting more and more goals and not sitting back and well done for maintaining your positions.
