Today was a cup game home to Tetbury Town, To be fair the coaches thought this would be an easier game for us today with how the team played last week and we were wrong. Yes we had 2 positional changes to the team but we thought the team could cope with that, the way they played today they all looked if they all went out for a drink the night before, there was no passing between them at times and no one seemed to be motivated at all today. The goal scorers did not celebrate any of the goals as if it's embarrassing, so come on lads when you score lets see some celebrating for yourself and the team like you did against Ferndale. So next week hopefully the team can respond like they played against Ferndale, we all know, they know, they are the best team in the league so lets see them do it and not lower themselves to the opposition level.

The football at times was quite good and when they did pass the ball they looked good, but this was not the team that the parents and coaches of Bassett come to expect from this team.

On a more positive note the team have now only conceded 1 goal in 7hrs of football which is an outstanding achievement to them so far, the goals the lads scored today were well worked and the pick of the goals was Nick's goal, he picked up a loose ball outside the opposition area and hit it which sailed over the oncoming defenders and straight over the keeper.

We would like to welcome Grant back to the team today after his injury, which has kept him out of the previous 6 games, Good to see you back Grant.

So next week lads, Please cheer up and enjoy your football like you did against Ferndale, lets forget about today's game and move on.
