Shama hattrick sees Bassett win comfortably against Malmesbury

Today's game saw the U12's home to Malmesbury who last week drew 1 all against Lydiard who we beat 1 nil in the week. So the game was possibly going to be very hard one for us.

After Wednesday's hard fought win in difficult conditions, The team had a good chance to put things right today, which we are doing in training but not in the matches we have played. From the start Bassett went flying out of the blocks, there passing was good, there wide play was good and there positional play was good this was the Bassett team we come to expect to see play.

The whole team played well and Ellis played very well up front scoring one along with Callum also scoring one in which Callum's strength was good to see in holding up the ball when required. Danny on the left wing played his best game so far and hope he continues that form next week. Josh again is playing good football on the wing (3) and with Jack (1) and Nick (1) starting to control the midfield, the team are now looking like a team.

The goals we scored were all well worked between themselves and it was pleasing to see was that, one we took the roof of the net of a few times and two that there was different scorers so its nice that we don't have to rely on 1 or 2 people to score.

After the game was won Kieran came out of goal for the last ten mins and he could have gone all the way but decided to pass it instead but that's team play, also Seb had another good game in defence and Ben was solid again along with Ryan who is good at passing the ball through to his team mates.

Overall the team played played to their strengths and the score line suggested that, as I said it was pleasing to see the team listening to me and see how they can play when they do.
