We knew what was required of us before the game started. We needed the win to secure our place in the league. Anything less would not do us justice.

For the first half the game was even, both teams determined and forceful, both taking equal amounts of possession and shots.

Liden took a shot which caught most of us off guard, except for Jack Holder who sprang from no where and took the ball right our of play. Fantastic focus on the ball and the game.

Half time and it was level 0-0

Wootton Bassett came on strong all round. Jack Holder broke through with determination and we were 1-0 up. Liden tried hard to level the score which meant our defence had to stand strong and keep them out, Jamie, Jack Timbrell and Nat rose to the challenge. Jamie making some great clearances. Nat as always never giving in.

We had to up our game a little.Lots of hard runs for Marshall, Adam and Jack H midfield, bringing the ball up front for Tom and Raisham to try and break past Liden's strong defence. Finally another chance for Adam which paid off, resulting in another goal 2-0

Liden battled through several times, Josh saved with confidence, but eventually they sent a lovely chip into the net. 2-1

A good pass from Jack H to Raisham, the goal in sight but not quite a clear shot, he gave a short pass to Marshall who tipped it in 3-1

Adam took a forceful shot which was clean and precise, the goalie shocked at the cheek! 4-1

Liden not giving in battled past in the last few minutes, ended on a high with the final score 4-2.
