12 Nov 2011 - Robins (H)

After two minutes and being 0-2 down, the heads were drooping adn a repeat of the previous week looked unlikely.

A couple of Saves by Josh and a good head out by Adam was not enough. We were all over the place with no will and no desire and no form!

Towards the end of the first half, Nat took a shot after an improved run by Marshall, which was saved, but rebounded out for Nat to have a second blast, it went in ans brought the score to 1-2. The Robins fought back and we were 1-3 down.

A hard talking to by Neil and Paul was the best they could get at half time!

The Robins started the second half much the same as the first with a quick starting goal. 1-4

Then something clicked!! Marshall had a superb run with sheer determination on his face and got us our second goal. We became more alert and started to work harder, Jack H followed Marshall quickly with our third. 3-4

Heads were now up, whilst Robins were getting agitated, they had some good shots, however now Josh was on a role and refusing to let it go in.

Our defence picked up and were blocking the Robins well, with Jamie and Jack T working hard to send the ball straight back causing Robins some grief.

We then had a muddle in the goal mouth but the result was another goal form Nat which trickled in past the Robins goalie, much to his dismay. 4-4

Raisham, Nat, Callum and Adam had some good runs, shots and even headers, but to no avail.

Then Handball - Penalty - Adam scored a beauty.5-4

We were now on a roll, we kept fighting and playing hard, we didn't tire nor did we sit back and wait. Callum's energy and vigour was endless.

Another handball by the Robins gave us another penalty, but this time it went over the cross bar. It wasn't long though before Adam took another lucky shot - in it rolled. The Robins then managed to get another one past us.

Another fine set of runs by Marshall and suddenly we were 6-5 up and taking control of the game. This was followed by an equally good run by Nat making the final score 7-5.

A nail biting start with a heart pumping finish. A great result, showing that we can come back and win if we keep our heads up and fight till the end!
