19 Feb 2012 - Highworth Town Juniors 'H' (H)

We got of to a shaky start but began to hold our own against Highworth. There were a few tense moments when Highworth broke through our defence and popped shots at Sid,which were thankfully of target, saved or won back. We did on occasions have some opportunities that were given away. We lacked form and pace and althougth the opposition seemed to have this in abundance, we managed to get to half time holding the score much to Highworths amazement to 0-0

The second half was dissapointing. Whilst we had some good chances, none of us played to our full potential. We wer all a little disorientated and seemed not to know if we were coming or going! We had difficulty getting past their defence and if we did our shooting was not at our usual standard. Defence got weary and resulted in three goals against us. A break for Nat gained us one back, but by now our heads were low and we were tired. Close to the final whistle Highworth popped in their fourth goal. 4-1 A disspointing game, considering our performance against Greenmeadow in the semi-cup final last week. We are capable of doing so much more!!
