27 Nov 2011 - Croft Juniors Red (H)

We started the game with a nervousness that seems to take over us every week! We seemed scared of the opposition and afraid to go for the ball. Within two minutes we were 1-0 down!!

Croft had a strong team on and Jamie had his work cut our in defence from the start and was forced to make some good tackles. Josh had shots being taken left, right and centre and the gasps on the side line were apprehensive.

Then we began to compose ourselves,think about our positioning and get into the game. The game had really started!!

Raisham came on and within a few minutes was in a good position to receive a pass and chip it straight over the goalkeepers head. 1-1.

With this croft came straight back at us as we were still reeling from our equalizer, caught us slightly off guard and scored another. 2-1.

Jack Holder was battling hard, which paid off as he broke through the defence and took a shot, which was tipped in by Nat. Square again! 2-2

We came back for the second half more focused and played better as a team. Adam gave some good runs and fantastic shots. Nat worked tirelessly running the length of the pitch trying so hard to get the better of Croft. Marshall was ready and willing as ever trying with all his might to win balls back and get them to our end. If only the Croft goalie wasn't so on form!!!

Nearing time, Jack Timbrell took the control of the ball, just off the half way line he took a powerful shot towards goal. It was a valiant attempt but was saved. Marshall had a good cross towards goal and Raisham leapt to for the header but it was just out of reach. Adam charged shortly after with a lovely shot which sadly didn't go in.

Certainly a good game for entertainment value.
