20 Nov 2011 - Robins (A)

The pressure was on before Kick Off. We knew we could beat them if we worked hard as we had such a good comeback last week.

Immediately Robins made a run and Josh had to get in the game in an instant with a good on target shot. Good Save! We put the pressure straight back on them, with a fab run by Marshall, ended by a pass to Jack Holder, who started the goals rolling. 1-0

We had some good movement from Marshall and Jack midfield to up front with Jack Timbrell making their defence nervous.

Whilst we had good work between Jamie and Adam in defence, Josh still needed to be alert as the Robins were not going to let their heads down and battled on and netted one back. 1-1

Nat made some determined runs. Jack H continued his good form and quickly secured his second goal. 2-1 We eased off a bit too much which Robins took advantage of, levelling the score to 2-2.

We lost our team work slightly ,with serveral of us making personal runs, when more passing could have easily have secured us more goals.

Raisham had some good touches and attempted to head the ball into goal from a corner, if only he was a few inches taller!!

Second half - Nat came out guns blazing with some great energy as again did Marshall.

Our passing was improving greatly in the second half which meant Raisham was in prime postition to get us our 3rd. 2-3 Adam now back to his usual position on pitch looked more comfortable and put in considerable effort.

In no time the Robins came straight back at us and made the score 3-3. Jack Holder then made a valiant run and scored his third - HAT TRICK!! 4-3

Jack T and Jamie in defence had to stand strong and make good decisions as the Robins were not going to sit back and give in. They fought til the very end and never let up.

An exciting game. Good to have another win. Lets keep up the good passing that we know we can do and we know works.
