Wiltshire League clubs were in goal scoring mood on Saturday. Swindon Victoria entertained and defeated Warminster by 9 goals to 1, Wootton Bassett obtained half a dozen goals without reply from Chippenham Rovers and RAF (Boscombe Down) accounted for Swindon Corinthians by 5 goals to 1.
Wootton Bassett scored three goals in each half against the Rovers of Chippenham and as the result would indicate the game was rather one sided. The scorers were Gleed (3), Brown, Childs and Clark.
The Town will entertain the F.T.S. Netheravon in Division 1 of the Wiltshire League tomorrow, and their team will be: C.R. Waite; W. Hawson, F.C.W. Drury; R. Brown, H. Clark, J.G. Fry; F. Childs, F.F. Perry, J. Smith, S. Gleed, R. Beazley. Reserves – A. Embling, H. Page and E.B. Bull.
