Wootton Bassett completed their home fixtures in the Wiltshire League on Wednesday, but were no match for Westbury, who by their overwhelming victory secured the League championship. Westbury were easily the best side seen on the Sports Ground this season and fully deserved their 9-2 victory. The scorers for Westbury were Butler (3), Mizen (3), Adlam (2) and Walters, while Embling secured one in each half for Wootton Bassett, but Drury failed to convert a penalty in the second half.
The Town conclude their Wiltshire League programme tomorrow with a visit to Swindon Corinthians and the team will be: R. Arthurs; H.C. Page, F.C.W Drury; H. Bartlett, R.W. Brown, J.G. Fry; J.F. Taylor, F.F. Perry, A. Embling, E. Pearce, B. Bowles and A. Hunt.
