Another Point in the Right Direction

Rylands Way, 19th March 2011

Despite failing to hold on to a lead, Wootton Bassett Town were able to earn a hard fought point as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Rylands Way by Bracknell Town.

James Turner, with his third goal of the season, had put the hosts ahead in the first half, before the Robins hit back to secure a draw with thirteen minutes to go through Tom Nugent.

Although they sat two places above Bracknell going into the game, the visitors came into the match on the back of a rich vein of form in which they had thumped league leaders Ardley United 4-1 and proved a goal too good for high-flying Binfield. But they were unable to leapfrog Dave Turner's side, meaning three teams continue to seperate Bassett from the drop zone with catch up games still to play.
