This week we entertained Coleshill at Ballards Ash and we were hoping for another good performance to keep our confidence high as we move towards the end of the season.

Due to illness Coleshill could only field a team of five so this was strange for us as we haven't played five a side for a long time but the players soon knuckled down to it and before long we had taken the lead through Max. Then we went two up after Scott hit a good low shot towards goal and Josh was on hand to force it over the line, this gave us the confidence to look for more goals and two more from Josh and one from Ollie sent us into half time 5-0 up. Our half time chat was all about how we needed to keep our shape and if we could do this more goals would follow. Straight from the restart this proved to be right when we scored our sixth through Keir but then we had a five minute spell where everyone wanted to get on the score sheet and we left ourselves exposed at the back conceding two quick goals. This woke us up a little and ensured that we got back to our original shape where we could knock the ball around and again and the goals started flying in through Josh 3, Max 1 and Ollie 1 to make the final score Bassett 10 Coleshill 2.

A good overall performance today with all the players contributing towards a great result and but for a five minute spell when everyone decided to forget about their defending duties and go in search of goals we were always in control. This week the MOTM award goes to Josh who had a hand in nine of our eleven goals scoring six and setting up three. But the most pleasing thing over the last ten or eleven games has been our teamwork with every player working for each other and always trying to create more than one option when we are in possession of the ball, this has resulted in some good flowing football, keep it up lads.
