This week Bassett were playing away at Blunsdon and we were hoping to keep up our recent good run.

The match kicked off and straight away it was Bassett who were dictating the pace and before long it was 1-0, Josh the scorer. Minutes later it was 2-0, this time Scott did well to win the ball in midfield and play it to Josh, he picked out Oliver who ran onto the pass and hit a good low shot into the bottom corner. With half time approaching Josh scored his second after combining well with Kalum to send us into the interval 3-0 up.

It was important in the second half not to get too carried away with the score line and to keep our shape which we did very well with Mitchell doing a great job holding things together in midfield and this meant more goals soon followed. Kalum's running with the ball was starting to cause big problems for the opposition and he scored with two well taken goals before Blunsdon managed to pull one back. Then towards the end Ollie scored his second and Josh completed his hat-trick to make the final score 7-1 to Bassett.

Another good result today and another good overall performance, Max is proving to be an excellent deputy in goal for Reuben who was unavailable today, whilst Martin and Keir coped very well with everything that Blunsdon tried to throw at them, Scott, Mitchell and Ollie all battled well in midfield and Josh and Kalum had the opposition chasing shadows all match. Although everyone put in a good display today and the MOTM was hard to chose there were two players who just about edged it, Martin was particularly solid at the back and put in some great crunching tackles and Josh not only scored three and set two up but his work rate and tackling back was excellent.
