28 Apr 2013 - Hungerford Town Juniors (A)

We started slow today, losing our shape a little in the early minutes on a big pitch we were pushing forward in numbers. But this was a mistake as twice we got caught out and with two smart finishes by Hungerford, we found ourselves 2-0 down.

But we worked hard to get back into the game, we started to keep possession and started to force a few corners with good work from Jamie and Jack Holder in midfield. We did pull one back before half time when Nat scored with a peach of a shot to give us hope.

We spent long periods of the second period in the Hungerford half but were struggling to break them down as they had their tails up and were defending really well. Oliver, JT and Josh were playing well stopping the breakaways and clearing any danger.

We had a few chances when Nat shot wide and had a glancing header just miss the post. Adam and Oliver had some long range shots off target and when Marshall and Jack were through the keeper saved well.

A frustrating game to watch as we were always chasing the game after the slow start.
