We played Chippenham for the second time in 4 days but we managed to win and keep a clean sheet again.

This game was a lot closer with both teams working very hard and pushing forward well but we managed to get some luck and were just a little bit stronger overall.

We took the lead when from a quick goal kick from Josh to Oliver, the latter passed a cracking ball over the midfielder for Marshall to run on to and he took a touch and then hit a venomous shot just past the keepers hand and into the top of the net.

Chippenham then had some of the play and forced several corners that we had to concentrate 100% on with the swirling wind and their expert dead ball player putting us under some big pressure.

But we defended well and were playing confidently with the ball as we were doing some lovely passing moves starting with Josh looking to play the ball out quickly to Oliver and JT who moved it on to Adam, Jamie or Jack Holder and then to Nat and Marshall.

A few minutes later and Marshall scored a second. A clever pass by Jack Holder into the space, Marshall ran onto the ball and took a shot from a wide angle and the unlucky keeper let the greasy ball slip through his hands and it dropped over the line.

Nat scored our third when Adam battled with two defenders by the touchline and he looked up and rolled the ball to the unmarked Nat who smashed the ball home.

Chippenham were unlucky not to get on the scoresheet when they had a free kick from just inside our half that the player hit hard and crashed it into the crossbar!

The fourth goal was more direct as Josh took a long goal kick which bounced and Nat out muscled the last defender for the ball an kept his cool to put the ball into the back of the net.

We had a few more chances as Nat headed wide from a Marshall corner then Adam, Jamie and Oliver all missed the target with their shots but it was a hard won 3 points so well done.
