Corinium Stadium, 15th October 2011
Wootton Bassett Town slumped to a disappointing defeat - their third of the season - as Cirencester Town 'Development' recorded a 1-0 victory at the Corinium Stadium.
Connor Teague grabbed the only goal of the game in the 67th minute to give the hosts victory. The loss ended Bassett's five game unbeaten streak in the league, and was the third negative result for Dave Turner's side in a row in all competitions.
Having dropped just two points in those five previous Division One West games, Bassett appeared set to continue chipping away at the deficit created by losses in the first two games of the season. However, they now lie eighth and are in a position where maximum points are needed in games held in hand if the gap between themselves and Cricklade Town, currently occupying third, is to be bridged.
And fixtures do not get any easier. Lydney Town visit Rylands Way this coming Saturday before a tricky three match away run against Clanfield, Winterbourne United and Cricklade
