Wootton Bassett Town were dumped out of the Floodlit Cup, losing 3-0 away against Hellenic Premier League outfit Reading Town.
Prior to the trip to Scours Lane, manager Dave Turner had told the Swindon Advertiser that the competition was down on the list of his priorities, but Bassett nevertheless gave the contest a good go. And they had the perfect opportunity to take the lead when awarded a first half penalty, but Alex Harper missed the spot kick. Soon after, Reading took the lead and didn't look back.
After three cup matches in the past ten days, concentration refocuses on the team's Division One West campaign with the trip to near neighbours Cirencester Town to take on their Development team.
