After last weekend's defeat in the cup, Bassett could now concentrate on the league and got straight into it with some good moving and a lot of possession.A good start turned into a great start, with a great through ball from Tyrie, who put Passingham through to cross for Plaistow, who bured it, to make it 1-0 to Bassett. Bassett looked to be in the drivers seat until a Liden break away caught them out, a cross low went through all the Bassett players and Liden equalised to make it 1-1. Some good work from Tyrie and Passingham up the wing enabled Bassett to take a 2-1 advantage with Mooney setting up Plaistow, who got his 2nd of the game. At half time it was 2-1 to Bassett

Just after half time there was another sting in the tail, Liden equalised after Bassett were caught on the break again, 2-2. Swann replaced Molloy. Next came the frustrating part of the game with chances from Tasker, Plaistow and Mooney who all went close in trying to get Bassett back into the lead. Doherty and Southern come on for Stewart and Little. With 5 minutes to go it looked as though it would end 2-2, but Bassett continued to attack and were finally awarded with James Tasker scoring the winner, 3-2 to Bassett. At full time it ended with Bassett taking the points winning 3-2 and a good performance all round! Keep this up guys!
