Ferndale kicked off and attacked straight away but cleared by Tyrie. A good bit of passing from Bartlett to Swann to Plaistow to Tasker back to Plaistow back to Tasker to Mooney only then to be cleared by Ferndale. Quite end to end attacking with Embling picking up ball, then to be attacked again but cleared by Southern, only to be saved again by Embling.

Bassett then attacked with Plaistow passing to Passingham and then Passingham crossing the ball only to be cleared by Ferndale. Bassett attack again with corner, Mooney shoots but just goes wide. Ferndale then attack back but good defending from Bartlett clears ball. Then after some good passing from Bassett between Tasker, Passingham to Plaistow who shoots just wide!!! Then its Tasker who has a shot and again just wide of the goal. Passingham and Plaistow follow with shots, both of which are stopped by the keeper. Followed by a couple of free kicks and corners taken by Little but Ferndale defend deep and Bassett very unlucky to have not scored. First half finished at 0 – 0 although Bassett had many chances and were very unlucky to have not scored.

Bassett kick off but loose possession early and Ferndale take the chance and attack and score. 1 - 0 to Ferndale. Ferndale continue to attack with Embling having to make numerous saves to keep the score line down. Bassett then have a free kick taken by Tasker which Swann heads just wide. Some good movement by Daley and Little working hard to defend Bassett end. As Ferndale continue to attack some good work by Southern and Tyrie who clear the ball. Then a string of good passes from Daley to Little to Bartlett to Plaistow to Tasker who shoots but sadly again just wide. Then Southern is replaced by Farrow leading into another Bassett attack with Taskers shot being saved by the keeper. Daley then replaced by Moolloy. Good passing again by Bassett as Bartlett crosses in but saved again by their keeper. Some brave play by Embling who comes off his line to clear ball, which he does well in a last attempt to attack but sadly too late and final whistle blows.

Good game to watch but unfortunately the goals just weren't going in for Bassett, well done lads!!
