Bassett started the game with intent to get back to winning ways, and almost straight from the off an Evans pass found Tasker, who forced the keeper into a good save. Passingham looked in great form with runs up the line and his hard worked paid off, when he found Evans, who crossed and found Mooney, who had a simple tap in to make it 1-0 Bassett. Another great cross from Passingham found Mooney, who made the keeper make a great save. Soon after a Swann corner was uncleared and Mooney got his 2nd of the game to put Bassett 2-0 up. A great run from Passingham saw him have a shot blocked from the keeper, but Evans was there to make it a 3-0 to Bassett. With Bassett controlling, it got better when Tasker made it 4-0 with a cracking shot from just outside the box, which went in off the post. Bassett got a shock when they were caught at the back; luckily the ball ran across the goal line with a Croft player missing the chance to get his team back into it. Mooney got his hat trick when he lobbed the keeper to make it 5-0 just before half time. At half time a great performance was put in by the boys and deserved their 5-0 lead.

At the start of the 2nd half, Bassett seemed to have fallen asleep and a great save from Wakefield kept it at 5-0. Tyrie replaced Southern. Another volley, this time from Evans, who got his 2nd, made it 6-0 to Bassett. Tasker replaced by Stewart and Molloy on for Embling. Croft pulled one back from a knock on from a free kick, but it was nothing more than a consolation. At full time Bassett got back to winning ways by thrashing Croft 6-1, with a hat trick from Mooney, a double from Evans and a goal from Tasker, a great overall performance guys, keep it up!!!!!!!!!!
