The Town entertained Ogbourne United in a Swindon and District League match on Saturday (this being the Town's only game during the holidays). The teams met in a Cup-tie several weeks ago, when the town won, and, as was expected, they again proved victorious, scoring twice without response Although the United fielded only 10 men, they held out for an hour before the Town penetrated the defence, W. J. Ogbourne giving his side the lead with a good header from S. J. Titcombe's centre. A few minutes later H. Bartlett sent in a long shot, which went over the goalkeeper's head into the net. There were so many offside infringements as a result of the Ogbourne backs keeping far up the field and the goalkeeper positioning himself near the penalty spot for most of the game.
