The Town team did splendidly on Saturday to defeat Ogbourne United at home in the second round of the Swindon and District Junior Cup competition. The visitors, who are the cup-holders, had most of the early play, but at the end of twelve minutes S. Titcombe gave the Town the lead with a great shot. Midway through the second half he again netted. Ogbourne tried hard to make amends, but the Town were on the top of their form, and but for the smart goalkeeping of Cribb they would have won by a bigger margin. It was the best game seen on the Sports Ground this season.

The Town will visit Aldbourne for a Swindon and District League match tomorrow and the chosen players are: E. Comley; E. Evans and H. Clarke; J. G. Fry, J. Webb and A. Compton; S.J. Titcombe, H. Bartlett, S. Titcombe, L.W. Chequers and W. Sandell
