Bassett lose two players to injury and go down to narrow defeat

The Town team were unfortunate to lose the services of two of their players through injury in their match with Ramsbury on Saturday. This was the Town's first fixture in the Swindon and District League, and they did well in only losing by the odd goal in three. The game was about 25 minutes old when W. Ogbourne had to retire with a leg injury and was unable to take any further part in the game, and only 10 minutes of the second half had gone when W. Sandell, the outside left, went off with ankle trouble. Ramsbury obtained a goal in each half, and S. Titcombe registered the Town's goal just before half time.
