The Town entertained Marlborough Town in a Swindon and District League match on Saturday and won by 2 goals to nil. Owing to delay on the road, Marlborough arrived about three-quarters of an hour late, and consequently a 70-minute match was played. The home team showed themselves to be a little superior and at the interval led by a goal, scored by L.W. Chequers.

After the change of ends Marlborough played some good football, but the local side proved themselves equal to all demands and went further ahead through W. Ogbourne.

The Town will visit Avebury in a Swindon and District Junior Cup tie tomorrow, and their team will be: C.R. Waite; A.S. Beale and H. Clarke; E. Evans, J. Webb and A. Compton; L.W. Chequers, H. Bartlett, S. Titcombe, W.J. Ogbourne and W. Sandell.
