The Town maintained their good form of the previous week by defeating Pewsey in a Swindon and District League match by the odd goal in five, and this despite the fact that for the greater part of the game they had only nine sound men. After half-an hours play F.C.W. Drury was carried off with a dislocated knee, and H. Clarke, owing to the return of an old injury, was only a "passenger" at outside-right for 75 minutes. Pewsey gave an excellent display, and at the end of 25 minutes Balcombe scored. The Town, however, were not dismayed, and Titcombe brought the scores level. Just before the interval Tannant put the visitors ahead, but about seven minutes after the resumption Bartlett equalised. Play from now on was fast and even, and eventually Compton obtained what proved to be the winning goal.

The Town will journey to Burbage for a Swindon and District League match tomorrow and the side will be: C.R. Waite; A.S. Beale and L.W. Chequers; E. Evans, E. Tull and A. Compton; S.J. Titcombe, H. Bartlett, S. Titcombe, J. Webb and W. Sandell.
