Both the Town teams suffered set-backs in their Cup-ties on Saturday. The first eleven visited Avebury in the second round of the Swindon and District Junior Cup Competition and were defeated by 2 goals to nil. Avebury were the better team and but for a great display by C.R. Waite in the Town's goal the home side would have won by a much larger margin. L.W. Chequers of the Town received a painful injury just before the end.
