A perfect end to the season with a great team performance today. We went on to the pitch with just the right attitude with all the boys playing for each other. Joe set us on the right track with the first two goals. The first came after some great dribbling but was somewhat fortunate to see his cross find the corner of the net. Pewsey although bottom of the league were still posing problems and our two defenders were kept busy.

Joe looked sharp throughout the game and his dribbling was mesmerising! He was just one of all of our team who had a good game today. Hadley was his usual busy self and it was his defensive abilities that were on show today, tackling and intercepting from midfield. Nick and then Harrison in midfield were a threat going forward with Nick looking ever more confident in his advanced position. Harrison settled some nerves by getting on the end of a corner much to the delight of his team mates and the parents on the line.

It was George who caught the eye in midfield today with a 100% committed performance. Strength, speed and skill from George today and his sweet strike for the 4th goal was exactly what he deserved. We had conceded 15 goals in our last 5 matches so it was particularly pleasing to keep a clean sheet and that was a just reward for our keeper and defenders who were superb today!

Ashley looked confident and commanding in goal and was alert on a number of occasions rushing out to block attacks. It was our defence though that probably deserves the most credit. Alex looked superb with his positioning and clearances and Josh was a rock as usual, not allowing ANY attackers to get past him! Add to that some great clearances and a couple of nice shots on goal and it was easy to see why he picked up the man of the match award.

Nice to see all the smiles after the match with all the boys keen to continue their progress into next season.
