Draw a fair result

We travelled to the lovely countryside retreat of Ramsbury hoping to continue the improvement from our first 2 matches and we came away not disappointed as we earned our first draw.

Our performance in the first half was fantastic as we controlled the game, with the midfield of Euan, George and Callum in commanding form as they tackled like tigers and passed the ball very well between them. In defence Harry and Ryosuke were very solid which meant Beckham was untroubled in goal, although he made 1 superb save when called upon.

After creating several chances it was left to Matthew to pounce on a loose ball in the Ramsbury penalty area and put us in front with a goal poachers finish, which was no more than we deserved from our excellent first half performance.

The second half was a much more even game as Callum replaced Beckham in goal and the Ramsbury team took the game to us as they searched for an equalizer.

Both teams had good chances with both Beckham and Isaac going close for us as the ball kept getting caught up in the very long grass on the pitch, which was making it hard for both teams to run with the ball as they tired from their earlier efforts.

With the game going into the last 10 minutes Ramsbury scored their equalizer after we struggled to clear a corner and the ball was seized on and drove past Callum into the goal.

The final 10 minutes was end to end as both teams surged forward looking for a winner but a draw was to be the final result.

Player of the match: Ryosuke Totsuka who was superb in defence all game and passed the ball very well when he had the chance to.
