The game was a midday Ko today and with the weather it was, to be polite, cold.

Right lets get on with it. Bassett kicked off in the first half against a very strong wind and with it being cold it was not much fun for either team, we controlled the game right from the start with Nick Buckle flying in this game and for his efforts he came away with player of the week and 3 goals to his credit. His attitude was great, his ball work good so well done. The first goal took about 10mins to come but before that there was great off the ball running by the team. The second goal was the goal of the game, Bassett picked the ball up in their own area, Cole passed it to Nick, all one touch, Nick passed it to Jack, onto Josh back to Nick onto Ryan and bang what a goal by the team. Ryan went onto score another goal to make it 2 but could have had 4 or 5.

With Grant and Cole at the back today the defence was looking good, with Ellis the keeper touching the ball once or twice throughout the game he was not troubled at all.

Jack was his usual self giving 100% all the time and his running was rewarded with 2 goals, even though his second was a deflection he still deserved it.

As the game went on Josh got into it and settled down into the player he has become and he was unluckly not to score a solo effort taking the ball from the half way line to the box and letting rip with the ball and only the goal post saving the keeper. On saying that the Ramsbury keeper had an excellent game today so great credit to him in keeping the score down.

Neil Little came on as sub to make his debut for us today and he was also unlucky not to score with his shot coming off the crossbar. A good start for him and keep going lads.

The pleasing thing about the game today was the chances created and its the 2nd game on the trot now with a clean sheet for the defence and goalie.
