2 wins in 2 now for Wootton Bassett now in the league, As you can see we played our good friends and rivals today and we came out on top of this clash.

To be fair the result could have at times gone either way , Wootton Bassett had the most shots by far in the first half with the shots either going just wide or over but then Westbrook put a fine ball through that split the defence as with Ellis the keeper saved the first shot but the rebound was picked up by the opposition and rolled the ball in to the empty net to make the half time score Bassett 0 Westbrook 1.

Second half we looked and performed in a better shape than the first and started to play and 10 mins into the game James Painter came on as sub went through 4 players to wack the ball in the back of the net to make his tally 2 in 2 a great start for him. The team started to play the game a bit better now and even as Westbrook had a few chances we looked more in control as the game went on, soon afterwards the keeper kicked the ball out and Josh was waiting by the half way line and in an instant before we even looked up it was in the back of the net he hit it first time what a goal by Josh.

The midfield kept on running and running with the likes of Nick sporting his new hair style and Jack ran their socks off again for Bassett. The third goal came with Jack just crossing the half line looked up cross come shot kicked it up field towards the goalkeeper but for some reason the keeper left the ball and the ball went in to make it 3 -1 to us. it was another good team effort by the lads with Ellis ,Cole and Harry in defence, Josh, Nick, Ryan and Jack in midfield, James and Jason coming on as subs up front.

In all it should have been a draw as a fair result but good work from the boys and they never gave up until the final whistle.
