Bassett under 9's travelled to Cricklade for our first cup game and came away 5 -0 winners. The Cricklade Keeper was in outstanding form and if was not for him the score would have been well in to double figures so well done to him. Right from the start today the lads played excellent flowing football great passing and good overlaps from each other. To be fair Cricklade in all the 40 mins of playing had one attack come shot of which Ellis the goal keeper dealt with and one corner and the rest of the game Bassett had them in their pockets. The defending of Cole and Harry was superb the runs that Chopper made up and down the pitch as well as Cole the Cricklade defence had no answer to them. With Nick getting more use to his role in the midfield played well today earning him the man of the match. What can I say about Jack he was his usual self ,full of running, good passing and great a getting those crosses in the box.. Josh played to his strengths and is also getting better by the game and good talking between the midfield today. Ryan had his best game by far today for Bassett , he kept running and passing and scored so a good performance by him ,and we welcome Phillip to the team today so well done to him for playing in which was not the position Phillip is used to.
