Stand-in manager ensures winning run continues

With the present manager on leave, the stand-in management was looking for a house in Spain incase the unthinkable happened. The boys however played excellent football and a good result was achieved.

The first ten minutes was a close fought contest in midfield with everyone fighting for possession. We however had our first break through after constant pressure within their half ended with a crucial toe poke by Ryan Amos to put us one up. This gave them a lot more confidence to attack with some excellent passing giving Ellis Embling the opportunity to score a further two goals and put us in a comfortable lead, taking the pressure of the stand-in management. With continuous good passing throughout the half, it was ended the way it started, with a goal from Ryan.

The start of the second half saw Shaw come at us with pressure, which was soaked up by some excellent defending from midfield and the ever-reliable defence, giving goalkeeper James Painter an easy day out. Ellis and Ryan added a further goal each to their days tally giving them both a hat-trick. With our strong midfield of Jack Brain, Nick Buckle and Josh Shama it was only a matter of time before more goals came our way. This time Nick was the scorer shortly followed by a goal and ever-changing celebration from Jack capping off the eight nil victory. Least we forget that both Cole Embling and Harry 'chopper' Hazard had yet another outstanding game. With missed chances, scoring only eight goals from forty-four attempts, shooting boots were not worn and this must be addressed at training. Well done to everybody for a well played game of football.
