Any dreams Wootton Bassett Town had of a lengthy run in the Wiltshire Senior Cup were ended emphatically by Westbury United, who stormed to a 3-0 victory on the back of a strong second half showing.

All three Westbury goals came during a seventeen minute second half spell. Nathan Hallett struck the first five minutes after the restart and it was 2-0 shortly after when Joe Kirkpatrick followed up from a blocked free kick. Mark Young then added a spectacular third to well and truly kill the game off.

Not since 2008/09 when Dave Turned led the team tothe semi finals of the competition have Bassett ventured beyond the second round. Their only interest outside of Division One West now lies in the Supplementary Cup, where they face Wokingham and Emmbrook on 1st December at Rylands Way.
