An experimental Wootton Bassett Town side was knocked out of the AM Print and Copy Floodlit Cup, losing 4-1 at local rivals Shrivenham.
Given Bassett's FA Cup run and the desire to focus on Division One West efforts, it was no surprise that Dave Turner rung the changes.
And those who were given the chance gave a decent account of themselves against Hellenic Premier Division opposition. The score was 2-1 to the hosts at half time thanks to a pair of goals from former Bassett Floodlit League forward Brad Gill, with Jack Ellis netting for the visitors. Shrivy's extra quality told following the restart though as they were able to stretch their advantage.
