Sunday 7th March 2010 - Highworth Town Juniors 'T' (A)

Unfortunately another game from which we must try and learn some lessons. A pretty even start with both teams passing quite well. Highworth took the lead though and from then on it was one way traffic.

Jake played in goal for the first time and didn't make any mistakes, but his inexperience showed with his kicking and distribution. That will come with practice though so hopefully today's game won't put him off too much.

Ashley played in goal in the 2nd half and his long kick at least relieved the pressure from the defenders at times.

No substitutes again didn't help and all 7 boys had to play the entire 50 minutes, tired and a little disconsolate. Tetbury had 12 players last week, Highworth had 13 this week – perhaps we need to look at bringing in a couple of new lads when we get the chance so that we don't have to keep on expecting all the boys to stay on the pitch when tired or even injured.

Joe scored a consolation goal, showing a good strikers instinct, reacting first when the keeper dropped the ball after saving Joe's initial shot. Daniel had a good strong game throughout and battled really well.
