Sunday 20th September 2009 - Shrivenham & Watchfield (H)

Two very even teams gave the supporters a great match to watch today. Shrivenham & Watchfield scored early in the match and Wootton spent the rest of the match looking for the equaliser.

Joe Mitchell up front for Wootton had plenty of chances to score but the Shrivenham & Watchfield keeper was equal to most of the chances, and the woodwork came to his aid a number of times too. It was very encouraging to see the amount of chances that Wootton created, on another day they would have scored 4 or 5!

Josh Shepherd was keeping their attack at bay with some outstanding defending and fully deserved to be named Man of the Match.

With just seconds to go Wootton created another chance but that too went just wide. Shrivenham & Watchfield then went up the other end and scored their second with literally the last kick of the game.
