Another unconvincing performance against a bottom of the league side. With just 10 minutes to go Bassett had gone from a 3-1 lead to 4-3 and Stratton were threatening to get their first point of the season. A Harry Fitzwilliams goal took the pressure off and two late goals confirmed all three points. Stratton should have been out of the match by half time but Bassett squandered chance after chance in front of goal and this is a worrying trend for the Bassett management. The goals that were scored came from Harry Fitzwilliams 3, Ben Curtis 2, Chris Edwards and Chris Bryant.
