This performance was yet another good day at the office. Straight from the kick off Bassett imposed themselves on Liden and after only 90 seconds Craig Hunt set up Harry Fitzwilliams to coolly slot the ball home. Although Bassett were on top they could not turn there advantage into more goals and the score remained the same up to the interval.

After the break Bassett themselves were caught napping allowing the dangerous Liden No.7 to slip between the defenders, run through to Jack Masons goal, round the keeper and level the scores. Wootton Bassett again put pressure on the Liden defence and 5 minutes into the 2nd half restored their lead with another Harry Fitz goal. Next Ben Curtis got in on the act with a great strike on 38 minutes, followed up by Harry with a 44th minute effort. It looked like a fine 4 – 1 win but right at the death Liden again broke free to make the final score Bassett 4 Liden 2.
