Missed chances

A game of missed chances, too many to count! I could not believe we didn't score at least 5 goals today. A note made to do some finishing in training! Bassett commanded the game for long periods, with some great play from Rhys Jones. Two new players made their debut, Dean Nichols and Robbie Pamphilon, both playing very well, especially Dean (apart from a silly handball on the edge of the penalty, that resulted in a goal for Ferndale). Good performance in general and a chance to play some new players, solid performance from Phillip Parsons (our goalkeeper) who played outfield to build his playing skills. Excellent game for Johnathon Salazar, who battled hard up front, but just lacked that final touch. Man of the Match was Rhys Jones, who played in goal in the first half very well, and was so unlucky not to score from a scorching 15 yard shot, that hit the underside of the crossbar, then bounced of the Ferndale goalkeepers face, to go the wrong side of the post! Hopefully better luck next time.
