Just one of those games where your team plays really well but does not win. A similar display of passing as shown in the first game, created several chances in both halves and reassured us that training must be working. A good Fairford keeper denying Bassett of the goals, he really was the decisive factor in this highly competitive game. I must give a special mention to three players - Ben Taylor who worked hard the whole game and passed wisely, John Salazar who promised me a goal and delivered and our newest player, Dale Johnstone who shone out as a future Bassett star. Next week at Ballards Ash against a tough Stratton Cirencester, for our first League game of the season.
