Second good win of the day against Stratton

Most of our games this season will be double headers, with fortunately most other teams in our league being able to play two games. Being able to play 18-20 players each game is massively important to us (and not surprisingly the kids), as we look to strengthen the whole squad, not just our best players. With 26 team members, we need to play as many games as possible in anticipation of playing 11-a-side football.

The second game was very similar to the first, with Bassett in total control and at times, Stratton merely spectators. A top class hatrick scored by James Stansall, and our other goal coming from an up-and-coming Rhys Jones. Debut game for Dale Johnstone (Geordie), another new team member with potential. Excellent performance from Ian Hunt, great defensive play, and two distant quality strikes on goal, denied by an excellent Stratton keeper. Mentions for Alex Crook, Oliver Stevens who both put in a fine performance. Having to pick only 10 players for the league games are getting more and more difficult!
