A squad of fourteen players was picked for the second game. Opportunities are few and far between to play all members of the squad, which at times leaves some very capable players without a game. Most players got on for twenty-five minutes, and all bar none made the most of their time. A great squad performance topped by several excellent individual performances: Dean Nichols scored his first goal for Bassett and showed improved confidence. Phillip (Digby) Parsons earned some of his dad's money by scoring his first goal in only his second outfield game. Dale "Geordie" Johnstone scored a cracker, as did Reece Postill.
