The score line does not do justice to the performance of the team in this second game. Bassett for long periods played very well, passed the ball around and had lots of decent chances to score. If our finishing had been better, it would have been more even. Credit to Cirencester who played very well, and have a surplus of talent in their team, and this showed as two or three Cirencester players in the second game would have made it into most first teams. Cirencester play their second team as much as their first, proving that experience and general quality in the squad as a whole can only be achieved by fielding the maximum amount of team members possible, and playing two games.
